Tapping (“Emotional Freedom Technique”) Sessions

Tapping (also known as “Emotional Freedom Technique”) is a gentle, safe and yet extremely effective somatic therapy technique.

How does tapping work?

Tapping can help whenever you are feeling overwhelmed and physically hijacked by your thoughts and limiting beliefs. It works by calming the feelings of tension and stress in your body, allowing the mind to follow suit.

We gently tap on parts of the upper body whilst talking out loud about the sensations you are feeling. The thoughts and limiting beliefs that have you in their grip will start to ease, creating space for you to replace them with truer and more helpful ways of thinking.

Sounds strange. Feels amazing.

What can tapping help with?

Tapping can be used to address all sorts of challenges including:

  • managing the impact of Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (“RSD”),

  • easing fears around phobias such as flying,

  • wanting to release limiting beliefs,

  • reducing feelings of anxiety and overwhelm, and

  • helping the resulting coping mechanisms such as binge eating & hoarding issues.

I offer online sessions, or if you’re willing and able to travel to South Manchester, we can meet in person. In-person sessions will incur an additional fee of £12 per session to help cover room hire costs.

How much does it cost?

Our first session will be for 90 minutes. We’ll spend the first 30 minutes talking through your current challenges and deciding what you’d like to focus on.

Then we’ll get straight on with some tapping.

The price for our first appointment is £95. The price reduces as you buy more sessions:

  • "I was feeling completely overwhelmed. (The feelings) changed as I relaxed. I found myself laughing at how I was evading issues. Not only did I leave the session feeling I could deal with the paperwork I also felt motivated to do it. I also felt as though all the anxiety I had been experiencing had melted away and I could cope with most things. I feel I am learning to use a tool which will actually help me. It also went a long way to reducing my depression and giving me hope."

  • "I was really nervous going into my first coaching and EFT session, but Jackie made me feel completely at ease from the start. She is warm, empathetic, and genuinely personable in a way that felt natural rather than performative. As someone with AuDHD, grounding myself and connecting with my body is something I find really difficult. Jackie gave me the tools and space to do exactly that, and I left the session feeling more settled in myself than I have in a long time. She also gently challenged some of my limiting beliefs around building my own business, which is something I am currently navigating, and helped me approach that process with more self-compassion. I will absolutely be booking more sessions and would highly recommend Jackie to anyone who is neurodivergent, going through a transition, or simply looking for a thoughtful and skilled coach and EFT practitioner.”
